Winner: Angela Dawe, Joint Director for Integrated Care at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust
Angela has had an impressive career in the NHS spanning over 30 years, the majority of which has been spent in Lambeth and Southwark. She has held a number of senior leadership roles including Director of Primary Care and Localities in the former Lambeth Primary Care Trust.
Angela has consistently demonstrated her commitment to the NHS and the teams that she leads. She has been hugely successful in the development of community health services.
Her style and calm determination has resulted in the development of new and innovative local services, such as the current Burttzog model of community nursing. In the recent CQC inspection under Angela's leadership, Guy's and St Thomas' Trust's local community services have been classed as outstanding.
One nominator said: "with the right mix of positivity, the ability to tap into others' strengths and thinking outside the box, Angela has been successful throughout her career. She puts her passion to improve services for local people into a clear and determined leadership style."
