Tenders, procurement and contracting

NHS Lambeth CCG is responsible for commissioning, or buying, healthcare services from other providers to meet the health needs of local people. This commissioning process involves contracting with existing service providers and can include competitive tendering opportunities for the provision of services.

As commissioners of healthcare services we have a clear responsibility to ensure that we make decisions and commission services in a fair and open way, to ensure we are getting value for money, and meeting the needs of our local population.  Through regular appraisal of the services we need to commission, we will continue to identify ways to improve efficiency, extend choice and access, and improve patient experience. We aim to offer the people of Lambeth a wide range of accessible, high quality and easy to use services to help them stay healthy and improve their wellbeing.

In line with the requirements of the document "Managing Conflicts of Interest: Statutory Guidance for CCGs" published in December 2014 by NHS England, with effect from 1 April 2015 all CCGs must maintain a register of procurement decisions taken, which includes the details of the decision, who was involved in making the decision and a summary of any conflicts of interest in relation to the decision and how this was managed by the CCG. This allows us to demonstrate that we are acting fairly and transparently and in the best interest of our patients and local population.

At the moment we have no procurements in process however these will be published when procurement decisions are taken.  A hard copy of the register, when published, will be available upon request for viewing at our office at 1 Lower Marsh, London SE1 7NT.
