Lay Member Role for Public and Patient Involvement

NHS Lambeth Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is looking to appoint a Lay Member to play an important part in governing and further developing the CCG.

The CCG is a membership organisation made up of all 44 Lambeth GP practices.  We commission healthcare for the people who are registered, live or work in the borough.  We are responsible for spending £526m each year on hospital and community-health services for our patients in a way that ensures the most effective services available to them.

You will ensure that the public voice of the local population is heard, using your skills to ensure that the public and patients expectations are understood and are met as appropriate.  You will ensure that the CCG builds and maintains an effective
relationship with Lambeth Healthwatch and draws on existing patient and public engagement and involvement expertise.

The time commitment is 3-4 days per month and the remuneration is circa £13,136 per annum.  Some time commitment may be required in the evenings.
