Transforming primary care in Lambeth

From the 1 April 2015 NHS Lambeth Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), along with the other CCGs in south east London  (Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich, Lewisham and Southwark) has taken greater responsibility and involvement in the design, shaping and commissioning of local general practices, in a joint commissioning arrangement with NHS England.

CCGs and NHS England recognise the importance of high quality, safe and accessible primary care services and are committed to working together to secure them locally.

This joint approach is referred to as the Co-commissioning of Primary Care and have now begun to meet regularly in a joint committee to consider and take decisions on local services together.

The joint committee meetings are held in public, the first meeting took place 11 June 2015 and the second meeting will take place as follows:

Meeting of South East London’s Primary Care Joint Committees

Date:    Thursday 6 August 2015
Time:    Between 6pm and 8pm
Venue:  Charlton Athletic Football Club, The Valley, Floyd Road, London, SE7 8BL

Members of the public are warmly invited to attend. Questions can be submitted in advance by emailing by midday on 5 August 2015.
