Get involved in the National Diabetes Audit

Public Health England is looking for GP practices to participate in a pilot for the National Diabetes Audit (NDA). Currently the NDA collects information on people with a confirmed diagnosis of diabetes. Public Health England now plans to develop the audit to include individuals who have not been diagnosed with diabetes, but have an elevated blood glucose level e.g. non-diabetic hyperglycaemia (NDH), and is looking for GP practices who will involve their patients.

This pilot aims to test newly introduced read codes relating to the NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme (NDPP) and to make sure the data is to the required specification, before a national roll-out.  Read more about the pilot here and contact Ben McGough at ben.mcgough@phe.gov.uk by 23 December if your practice is willing to participate.
