Developing primary care programme
Making it easier for Lambeth patients to access primary care
We know from what people have told us that they find it difficult to access their GP surgery for both routine and urgent appointments. We want everyone in Lambeth to have the same access to GP services and access to same quality of advice and treatment.
We want to transform general practice across the boroughs of Lambeth and Southwark by supporting GPs to lead the planning and improvement of services.
GP practices working together to deliver better care
One of the ways we think we can improve services is through GP surgeries working together. GP practices in Lambeth are now divided into localities that we call 'Primary Care Locality Networks'.
The idea is that, through these networks, GPs can share their ideas and ways of working as commissioners and providers to treat a broader range of health conditions, improve the quality of GP services and give patients better access.
The localities will also create a network for Practice Participation Groups to meet and share experiences and will also be able to input into Service Developments.
