The Outstanding Contribution to Children Award
Winner: Eloise King
Eloise was nominated by Maria Jewell.
Eloise has been a foster carer in Lambeth for an amazing 19 years! In this time she has cared for many children and young people.
Eloise has a track record of successfully fostering young girls, keeping them safe and forging long-lasting relationships and a sense of belonging. She has given young people wonderful new opportunities such as taking them on holidays abroad. Those she has cared for have said how loved and supported they have felt in her care.
A Lambeth social worker commented: "it is a pleasure to work with an individual as caring as Eloise. She is nurturing, professional, sensitive and flexible in her approaches to supporting the child."
There have been many challenges over the years for Eloise but she has remained committed to Lambeth's young people. She has offered and continues to offer a warm, supportive home, where young people can make mistakes and still experience love.
The work Eloise does is amazing and has touched all of our hearts. She has helped so many vulnerable children in Lambeth.
