Our primary aim is to improve the health of the Lambeth population and reduce health inequalities through the commissioning of high quality services.
Health and Wellbeing Board
Health and wellbeing boards are made up of local commissioners from across the NHS, Public Health and Social Care, local councillors, elected representatives and representatives of Healthwatch. They plan how they can work with each other to better the health and well-being of people in their area.
The Lambeth Council website
has details of members and board meeting minutes. We have programmes in place to address individual lifestyle factors such as smoking, exercise and diet. Lambeth Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) work with Public Health and the Local Authority to influence, for example, where people are born, grow up, live and work – which often contribute to differences in health or health inequalities.
Lambeth Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA)
The main aim of the JSNA
is to inform the improvement in the physical and mental health and wellbeing of the population and to reduce health inequalities for all ages. The JSNA underpins the local Health and Wellbeing Board, Southwark Council and the Lambeth Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) strategies.
