Mental health for older adults is part of the Integrated Adult Mental Health Programme. Commissioning focuses on dementia and serious mental illness in people over 65 years of age.
Services are provided to Lambeth residents by the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) working closely with King's College and Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals.
An early intervention memory service is commissioned from SLaM (referral form) to provide a timely diagnosis of dementia. Following diagnosis, the service links people with dementia and their carers to support and advice from the Alzheimer's Society.
